It's becoming very popular because of the styling and residuals will be good as a result. Same underneath as the ix30. Go for 16-inch wheels for the best ride quality. Fuel economy of the diesel autos is not brilliant. A Mazda CX-5 is better.

Fortunately the DPF implementation on the ix35 is pretty good to start with and the DPF is very close coupled with the engine so should be OK with a few runs out. Worth keeping an eye on the DPF with an APP if this is available.
